Jakarta – The Japanese automotive manufacturer, Daihatsu on Friday celebrated the achievement of the eight million production unit at Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), Sunter Assembly Plant, Jakarta.
ADM has a production capacity of 530,000 units per year, making it one of the largest automotive manufacturers in Indonesia, as well as a production and component base in meeting domestic and global market demand for the Daihatsu and Toyota groups.
This is supported by five factories and various other facilities such as R&D Center, Service Part Center, Vehicle Logistic Center, and Head Office,
In the domestic market, Daihatsu has been able to maintain its number two position in national automotive retail sales for 14 consecutive years. Daihatsu has also exported its vehicles to more than 80 destination countries.

President Director of Astra Daihatsu Motor, Yasushi Kyoda said, the achievement of the 8 million production unit is an important milestone for Daihatsu in its efforts to contribute to building Indonesia.
“We thank you for the trust of all loyal customers, the Indonesian government, and all those who have helped achieve this 8 millionth unit,” Kyoda expressed.

According to him, this achievement is also because of the support of stakeholders involving more than 1,700 suppliers and more than 600 MSMEs in Indonesia.
